Claire E Scott is an Arkansas-based writer, editor, and comedian. Her poetry chapbook, Relentless August, is out now with Bottlecap Press.

Claire is a poetry candidate in the University of Arkansas’ MFA Program in Creative Writing & Translation. She has served as the Arkansas International’s poetry editor since 2023.

She has poems published in BOOTH, Beaver, Laurel Review, Hobart, and other magazines. Her writing was awarded the 2023 West Trade Review Prize for Poetry by Robert Wood Lynn as well as the 2024-25 Walton Family & Carolyn F. Walton Cole Fellowship in Poetry.

Claire has performed stand up at Blue Whale Comedy Festival, Big Diamond Comedy Festival, and more.
